How to reset the iDRAC on PowerEdge? ( internal Dell Remote Access Controller) The integrated Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) with Lifecycle Controller is responsible for system profile settings and for out-of-band management. If issues occur regarding these topics, one of the first troubleshooting steps is to reset the IDRAC module. Note:  For the following 3 options a system restart is not required. Option: Reset via the i-button Since 12th generation of PowerEdge servers, a small button marked with an " i"  (Figure 1) is located on the front panel of many tower and rack systems.
